Any state with a $2 Billion farm economy and a population of 800,000 would consider itself a farm state. Yet Ventura County, boasting the same numbers, often goes unrecognized as the significant player in America’s food supply that it is.
That is why I am very proud to have been part of the organizing team for this year’s Ag Summit and Taste of Local event. (Follow this link for details) I hope you will join us for two days of interesting discussion of the real challenges and opportunities facing Ventura County agriculture, and some great food and drink prepared by some of our top local chefs. Can’t make both days? Absolutely fine…tickets for the events can be purchased separately, although the Weekend Pass is the best deal.
Am I a bit late posting about this? I sure am! But fig season came early this year, and I’ve been swamped.
Hope to see you there!
