Usually I’m not a fan of really high temperatures. I prefer it to be slightly cool personally, and lower temps mean less stress on the trees here in late summer. But this August, we have rarely seen the mercury climb past 80, and that actually is causing a different problem. No figs.
Oh, they’re on the tree alright… but they’re hard and green. And this is frustrating because I have some customers waiting for them, most notably the SideCar in Ventura. So just this once, join me praying for a couple of nice 95 degree days. I’ve got some proscuitto that needs eating.
